The snow-capped Teide volcano on Tenerife in the Canary Islands provides a dramatic foreground for this night sky view. The camera, fixed on a tripod, captures the stars as concentric trails, a result of Earth's rotation. The bright trail of a polar-orbiting Iridium satellite is also visible, cutting across the star trails.
