COSMIC MESSAGE
Puffy green aurora illuminate Willow Lake and the snowy Wrangell and Saint Elias Mountains in eastern Alaska. Auroras appear to add light to the sky, rather than blocking background stars. These northern lights are caused by collisions between charged particles from the magnetosphere and air molecules high in the atmosphere.
