COSMIC MESSAGE
The Rosette Nebula, also known as NGC 2237, is a star-forming region about 5,000 light-years away in the constellation Monoceros. Inside, the open cluster NGC 2244 of hot, young stars formed about four million years ago. Their stellar winds and ultraviolet light are clearing a hole in the nebula's center, shaping its flowery appearance.
