This Hubble Space Telescope image shows the giant elliptical galaxy M60 and the spiral galaxy NGC 4647. M60, about 54 million light-years away in the Virgo Galaxy Cluster, has a simple, egg-like shape from its randomly moving older stars. NGC 4647's young blue stars, gas, and dust form distinct spiral arms.
