NASA APOD · Bob Franke
COSMIC MESSAGE

New stars are forming here, including RY Tauri, a very young star embedded in its natal cloud of gas and dust. RY Tauri is a pre-main sequence star, still relatively cool and in the late phases of gravitational collapse. It is also cataloged as reflection nebula vdB 27.
