COSMIC MESSAGE
These three CubeSats, each about the size of a coffee mug, were released from the International Space Station by the arm of the Japanese Kibo Laboratory module. CubeSats are inexpensive to build and launch. Students often create them for university projects, with missions ranging from collecting wide-angle imagery to testing new technologies in orbit.
