The large spiral galaxy NGC 4945 is seen edge-on in this image. It is nearly the same size as our own Milky Way Galaxy, with a dusty disk, young blue star clusters, and pink star-forming regions. Located about 13 million light-years away in Centaurus, it is one of our closer galactic neighbors.
