Anticrepuscular Rays over Colorado (II)
NASA APOD · Regina Kelly
COSMIC MESSAGE
Anticrepuscular rays appear opposite the setting Sun. These rays are beams of sunlight that seem to converge on the horizon, but they are actually parallel. The illusion of convergence is due to perspective, like parallel train tracks appearing to meet in the distance.
