The Space Station Crosses a Spotless Sun

NASA APOD · Eduardo Schaberger Poupeau
COSMIC MESSAGE

The International Space Station (ISS) is usually only visible at night, reflecting sunlight just after sunset or before sunrise. It appears as a bright spot slowly drifting across the sky. The only time the ISS is visible during the day is when it passes directly in front of the Sun. This image captures such a rare daytime transit.
