COSMIC MESSAGE
This is one of the best global maps of Mars made from Earth, captured by the Pic du Midi mountaintop observatory. The observations were made when Mars was near its 2020 opposition, appearing at its biggest and brightest. The 1-meter telescope used was also instrumental in supporting NASA's Apollo lunar missions.
