COSMIC MESSAGE
Alnitak, Alnilam, and Mintaka are the bright bluish stars forming the Belt of Orion. These three blue supergiant stars are hotter and more massive than the Sun. They are located between 700 and 2,000 light-years away, having formed from Orion's interstellar clouds. The region also includes the dark Horsehead Nebula and the Flame Nebula.
