COSMIC MESSAGE
Comet Encke, also known as 2P/Encke, has the shortest period of the solar system's major comets, returning every 3.3 years. Its orbit takes it from inside Jupiter's orbit to just inside Mercury's. Encke is also associated with the North and South Taurid meteor showers on Earth.
