The Shadow of Ingenuity's Damaged Rotor Blade

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

NASA's Ingenuity Mars Helicopter captured this image during its 72nd flight on Mars. The shadow reveals one of its rotor blades was likely damaged during a rough landing. Ingenuity rose to 12 meters, hovered, and then lost contact with the Perseverance rover during its descent. After contact was re-established, it transmitted this image.
