The sky on
your birthday.
“Pleiades: The Seven Sisters Star Cluster” is copyrighted by Francesco Pelizzo. NASA has permission to show it and we don't, so it isn't on this card.
See it on NASA's siteThe Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters, is one of the closest open star clusters to Earth, about 444 light-years away. This long-exposure image reveals the faint blue reflection nebulae, clouds of interstellar dust that scatter the light of the hot, young stars within the cluster. The Pleiades are located in the constellation Taurus and are easily visible to the unaided eye.
