COSMIC MESSAGE
Comet ATLAS is a giant snowball of a comet, now so close to the Sun that we can only see it through the glow of dawn or dusk. Today, the comet is at perihelion, its closest approach to the Sun. If it were farther out, it would be as bright as Venus, one of the most remarkable comets in recent years.
