Help Map The Moon

You can help map the Moon by observing an occultation. The Moon will pass in front of the bright star Aldebaran, as seen from parts of the U.S., Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America. Aldebaran will disappear behind the bright edge of the third-quarter moon and reappear from the darkened edge. Accurately timed home video recordings from different locations can be used to map the lunar limb.
