COSMIC MESSAGE
Galileo Galilei made a good discovery great when he crafted his own telescope after hearing of the Dutch invention. He turned it to the sky and quickly discovered craters on our Moon, moons around Jupiter, spots on the Sun, and phases of Venus. Galileo, who lived from 1564 to 1642, claimed his observations only made sense if all the planets orbited the Sun.
