A Manhattan Sunset

COSMIC MESSAGE

If the sky is clear today, Manhattan will be dramatically flooded with sunlight as the Sun sets precisely on the centerline of every street. Usually, the tall buildings lining New York City's gridded streets block the setting Sun. This effect makes Manhattan a modern Stonehenge, aligned about 30 degrees east of north. If the road grid were perfectly east-west, this effect would occur on the Vernal and Autumnal Equinox.
