COSMIC MESSAGE

In 1655, Christiaan Huygens discovered Saturn's moon Titan, which he called Luna Saturni. This image shows the lens of the telescope he used, designed and built with his brother Constantijn. The lens measures 57 millimeters in diameter and is inscribed with its focal length and the date of its creation. It is a tangible piece of astronomical history, representing the early exploration of our solar system.
