The Spirit rover, exploring Mars since 2004, is visible in this image from the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. The orbiter, which arrived at Mars in March, began its science observations last month. Objects as small as one meter are resolved in this image of the rover in the Columbia Hills.
