COSMIC MESSAGE
Our Sun is not a first-generation star. The first stars in the universe likely formed and died about 13 billion years ago, and their exact nature is still unknown. However, the Spitzer Space Telescope has detected a faint infrared glow, possibly from these early, massive stars, which were hundreds of times larger than our Sun.
