COSMIC MESSAGE
Near the edge of the Small Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy 200,000 light-years away, lies NGC 602. This star cluster is only 5 million years old and is still surrounded by its natal gas and dust. The Hubble Space Telescope image shows how radiation and shock waves from NGC 602's massive young stars have sculpted the surrounding material and triggered new star formation.
