COSMIC MESSAGE
The Bubble Nebula, cataloged as NGC 7635, is an interstellar apparition with a familiar shape. It is about 10 light-years across and is formed by the stellar wind from a massive O-type star, visible above and to the right of the bubble's center. This image, taken with a hydrogen alpha filter, reveals the delicate structure of the cosmic bubble and its environment. It shows evidence of violent processes at work within the nebula.
