COSMIC MESSAGE
The galaxy NGC 4216 is about 40 million light-years away in the Virgo Cluster. Like the Milky Way, it grows by absorbing smaller galaxies. This image shows streams of stars, the remnants of a satellite galaxy NGC 4216 consumed. You can also see two other Virgo Cluster galaxies, NGC 4206 and NGC 4222, flanking it.
