COSMIC MESSAGE
The Geminids meteor shower, active in mid-December, is caused by Earth sweeping through dusty debris from the asteroid-like object 3200 Phaethon. This image captures a meteor streaking across a desert sky. The best viewing is after midnight in a dark, moonless sky, with the shower's radiant constellation Gemini high above the horizon.
