COSMIC MESSAGE
Here, the Moon partially eclipses the Sun, seen above a crowd of people watching the event. This image was taken from the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in Arizona. Faintly visible on the Sun's disk, just to the lower right of the Moon, is a group of sunspots. Sunspots are cooler, darker regions on the Sun's surface caused by intense magnetic activity.
