NGC 6357: Cathedral to Massive Stars

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

NGC 6357, known as the Lobster Nebula, is a region of massive stars. One star, Pismis 24-1, was initially thought to be over 200 times the Sun's mass. Hubble Space Telescope images revealed it is actually at least three stars, not a single record-breaker.
