COSMIC MESSAGE
On October 1, from central South Dakota, a prairie windmill stood under an aurora display. These northern lights, ranging from green to reddish hues, are caused by geomagnetic storms from solar activity. They extend far above the cloud bank, reaching altitudes over 100 kilometers.
