LightSail A, a bread loaf-sized spacecraft, successfully unfurled its 32-square-meter mylar solar sail on June 7. This image from one of its fisheye cameras shows the deployed sail glinting in sunlight. The sail was visible to Earthbound observers before the spacecraft reentered the atmosphere. This successful test paves the way for the LightSail B spacecraft.
