Stars and Dust in Corona Australis

NASA APOD · Eric Coles & Martin Pugh
COSMIC MESSAGE

Less than 500 light-years away, towards Corona Australis, lies a region of blue dust clouds and energetic young stars. The dust reflects light from bright blue stars, creating the striking reflection nebulae NGC 6726, 6727, and IC 4812. These dust clouds also obscure more distant stars of the Milky Way.
