COSMIC MESSAGE
On Halloween in 2013, an aurora over Tromsø, Norway, looked like a creature in the sky. This spectacular display had an unusually high degree of detail. The vivid green and purple colors are caused by high atmospheric oxygen and nitrogen reacting to a burst of incoming electrons.
