The Hydra Cluster of Galaxies is about 100 million light-years away. It contains three large, dominant galaxies: two ellipticals and a blue spiral. Each of these galaxies is about 150,000 light-years wide. These are surrounded by many smaller galaxies, all bound together by gravity.
