COSMIC MESSAGE

Many of the bright meteors during the 1998 Leonid shower had a distinct greenish tint. This dazzling Leonid fireball, photographed by Steve Dunn from Cape Canaveral, Florida, shows a striking green-to-white trail against the stars of Coma Berenices. This particular meteor was captured around 6:00 AM EST on November 17.
