COSMIC MESSAGE

During a total solar eclipse, the Sun's extensive outer atmosphere, the corona, is an awesome sight. Its subtle shades and shimmering features span a brightness range of over 10,000 to 1. This single five-second exposure captures the crown of the Sun in all its glory, taken with a specially built coronal camera.
