COSMIC MESSAGE
Last week, asteroid 2004 FH made an unusually close approach to Earth, passing only seven Earth radii away. Though it posed no danger, the 30-meter asteroid became bright enough to see with binoculars. This time-lapse movie, covering about 30 minutes, shows 2004 FH crossing the sky on March 18 from Switzerland, near its closest approach.
