What is creating the gamma rays at the center of our galaxy? The orbiting Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope has been imaging our galaxy's center in gamma rays for years. Detailed analyses indicate that the region surrounding the Galactic Center appears too bright to be accounted for by known gamma-ray sources. One exciting possibility is that the excess is caused by elusive dark matter.
