COSMIC MESSAGE
This two-panel mosaic from January 2016 captures two comets and a bright star. Comet Borrelly, with its faint coma and tail, is visible near the top. Its nucleus was visited by the Deep Space 1 spacecraft in 2001. Anchoring the bottom is the brilliant star Arcturus and Comet Catalina, which was also visible in early 2016.
