The New Horizons spacecraft zoomed past asteroid Arrokoth in January 2019, three and a half years after its Pluto flyby. Arrokoth is a double-lobed object in the Kuiper Belt, far beyond Neptune. This video animates images taken by New Horizons as it passed the asteroid. It was previously unofficially known as Ultima Thule.
