Close-Up of the Bubble Nebula

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

The Bubble Nebula, NGC 7635, is being sculpted by the powerful stellar wind from its central star, BD+602522. Adjacent to it is a giant molecular cloud, visible in the upper left of the image. The cloud acts as a barrier, containing the expanding bubble, but it is also blasted by intense radiation from the bubble's hot central star, causing dense regions within the cloud to heat up.
