The Swift satellite captured this ultraviolet mosaic of the Andromeda Galaxy, M31, the closest large spiral to our Milky Way. It reveals about 20,000 sources, mostly hot, young stars and dense star clusters. This image, 200,000 light-years wide, is the highest resolution ultraviolet view of Andromeda.
